My name is John Lace, Europa Builder 311.

My Europa Monowheel, G - OJHL has been flying since 1999 and now has 300+ hours and is based at Prestwick in Scotland. 2007 has been a very frustrating year with Mod. 71 early in the year, followed by Mods. 73 and 74 in August. I also took the opportunity whilst dealing with Mod 74 to incorporate Mod 52, the max. weight upgrade. The net result has been very little flying this year.

Since retirement in 1995 my wife and I spend our winters in the Bradenton area of west Central Florida and we will be there at the end of October until early March. I do some flying from a local airfield but only in spam cans.

I have not flown the Europa since August and as a consequence, I am suffering from serious withdrawal symptoms. Is there anyone out there with a Europa in the Central Florida area who is in need of a copilot or even just a passenger on the odd occasion during the next 4 months?

I can be contacted at this address, jhleuropa(at)aol.com (jhleuropa(at)aol.com) both here in Scotland and in Florida. Also, my phone number in the US is 941 723 3309.

I will be extremely delighted to hear from anyone in the Europa fraternity in the locality even if it is just to talk about the virtues of Europa's and the problems too for that matter.

  Heres hoping, John Lace.

				Peter-

Dean Seitz is in Orlando and he has been down here to Punta Gorda before. He would probably be up for a get-totether. His e-mail is below. I think he has about 130 hours on his plane. If you arrange something, let me know. We are always interested.

On another topic, we got tickets for a concert at the airport on November 4. I have 4 and more can be had if necessary. If Dean and his wife wanted to come down, I could pick up 2 more. He could put his plane in my hangar. From your point of view, it is Country music, the lead group is "Shedaisy" from Nashville and the gates open at 10:00 AM. Lynne and I plan to go. I have no idea if you like US Country music or not, but the concerts are always a good time. From my point, I'm not nuts about country music, but as long as they have beer and hamburgers, it is OK. This is the first one they have hosted at the airport, so I have no idea how it is going to come off. Also, the guy who wrote you, or Tony, may be interested. The tickets can be had for no charge for the next 10 days or so, so if there is interest let me know and I can pick them up.

Worked some on my trailer for the plane today and the lift for the new sailboat last week. I'll sure be glad when those two projects are done.

				Hi Jim & others

Kate and I will be at Spruce Creek Fl. (near Daytona). from the beginning of 2008 through to the end of May. With our Europa. It would be great to arrange something either at our fly-in or somewhere in Florida if anyone is interested in a winter get together. The advantage of Spruce creek is that it’s easy to find, has a good long runway with lots to see and we usually provide good food and plenty of beer, as Dean will probably testify.(looking forward to seeing you again Dean)
John, is your mono. the one with the IOM emblem on the side, as I have parked next to it many times at Prestwick and always wondered who owns it. Especially as we live on the Isle of Man when not in Florida.
So who’s up for “The great winter gathering” in sunny Florida ?
 Cheers

Hey there Alan and Jim and others,

I am still here just real busy still trying to get our business started. Let
me know when and I'll try to get the time to go. Haven't been doing much
 flying lately.

Just for what its worth, I had to get my plane appraised for the business
from a professional aircraft appraisal company, this guy was pretty strict
on paperwork and logs, and it came in at $85,000. Would have liked it a
little higher but what do you expect from a place that appraises million
 dollar jets ect.
