<?xml:namespace prefix="v" /><?xml:namespace prefix="o" /><![endif]--> Folks,

I'd like to install a Hobbs meter in my experimental GlaStar. Does anyone know where the oil pressure switch can be placed on this engine? Page 7-8 of the Lycoming Operator's Manual doesn't seem to help me. I have the oil pressure gauge sender installed where it says "Oil Pressure Gauge Connection".

Best regards,

Bob

Bob,
You can "tee" it in at the same place..
Careful to structurally support it to the engine (not the mount). You do not want a lot of unsupported weight on a long lever--you could break the fitting with vibration.
You could use flex hose from that location to the Hobbs switch and p-sensor ganged together and structurally mounted somewhere off engine.
Or,
There may be other available ports, look for 1/4 NPT galley plugs.
Good luck,
Dave Lammers
