Hi Guys,

I am rebuilding an O-200 for experimental use.

The engine I have doesn’t have a mechanical fuel pump or the eccentric on the cam to drive one. Do I need a different cam or does the eccentric fit in between the cam end and the vacuum pump drive?

Any other ideas would be good?

Cheers

Peter.

I have the same engine in a Zenith 601 and I just used 2 Facet fuel pumps, one in each tank. It's a lot cheaper for sure. Do you even have the boss to mount a pump on. Mine did not.

Aaron,

Thanks, I am also building a 601XL. The O-200 does have the place for a mechanical pump but nothing else. I have a copy of WW Corvair/601 book so may go with the double electric pump setup.

Thanks

Peter
