If you're looking for a good quality ANR headset that works, try out
this combination unit created by Mike Lackey:

http://www.uflymike.com

By combining the ANR capability and comfort of the Bose QC2 headset
with an aviation-grade microphone adapter you get an extremely
lightweight and comfortable unit. You have to buy the headset from
Bose of some other source (I recommend buying from http://
www.Crutchfield.com as Bill Crutchfield is a great supporter of GA
and a pilot himself!) then add Mike's adapter. I've used Mike's setup
for about 2 years now with zero problems! It's easy to put together,
stores in a small space with the included case. Best of all, when I'm
out of the airplane the headset can be used with audio source or just
as a noise reduction device. Oh, the UFlyMike adapter does have an
auxiliary input to allow simultaneous listening to the aircraft
radios and something else, if that's your thing, (Passengers really
like this feature since they still have access to the intercom
conversations but each one can chose their own entertainment.)

Mike has developed both mono- and stereo- versions plus a selectable
impedance to allow moving between different planes.

Disclaimer: Yes, Mike is a friend of mine. No, I don't get paid to
support his product. I do so because it works!
