My -7A has the Bob Archer Nav antenna inside the wingtip connected to an SL30. Reception for both VOR and ILS is superb with that combination. Doing the same for the -10.

I see from various pictures on the web that several of you RV10's flying have put, what I think is, the nav antenna underneath
the fuselage in the rear. Is this also your ILS glideslope antenna and if so have you had any difficulty with reception
while shooting an ILS? Normally they have them< I've been told, on the top of the VS because of better reception of the glideslope.

Dan,

I know the SL-30 has a built in Diplexer so for my better understanding you only need the one Archer Antenna hooked to the SL-30 for all Nav functions? No need for a Nav 2 antenna, is my assumption correct?

Correct. Just one coax lead from the antenna, terminating in a BNC at the back of the SL30 tray. The unit does the rest; as simple and bulletproof as it can be.
