I need to get the following plumbed to my short (XS Monowheel) wings:PORT:PitotStaticAOAPosition LEDsStroberoll servoLanding LEDSTARBOARD:Factory stall warner tubePosition LEDStrobeTaxi LEDWhat location has been used with success?I have a conduit in center of ribs aft of spar to run all of the above.Considering the following:****Using Europas recommended entry just forward of fuse spar hole near top (this means stuff needs to be routed above spar****Routing some stuff below fuse spar hole, and being very careful drill a hole just aft of spar hole near bottom sneaking between fuel tank and aileron bracket (this will have stuff aft of spar)****Entering just aft and above rear lift pin (This will require drilling a hole close to the all too crucial rear lift pin layup)Any other input is most welcomed.Thx.Ron Parigoris [quote][b]

Given the space above the spar provided by the wing root fairing, why
would you not go w/ the recommendation in the manual?

Seems straightforward enough...at least to this guy,

Ron,
I ran the wiring for combined nav lights and strobes through behind the spar
hole and between the fuse and fuel tank to the strobe driver in the back.
But it was very difficult to pull it through, and I was quite nervous
drilling the hole. There is only about 6 mm of space - just enough for the
wire bundle. If I was doing it again I think I'd go with the easy and
trouble-free route over the spar and in in front of the spar hole.

I took the pitot and static and AOA through in front of the spar hole. Easy.

Regards,
Keith.

Hi FredThx. for the reply. (reply.(at)suffolk.lib.ny.us)"Given the space above the spar provided by the wing root fairing, why would you not go w/ the recommendation in the manual?"I can agree with what is recommended in manual for my pitot, static, and can also follow suit with AOA and Stall warner tube locations. My real question is with the high voltage wires for the strobe system that I have never seen a factory recommended location for power supply or wire run.I have a Kunzleman strobe with one power supply that is mounted in the fuse.Running the high voltage wires, even though they are shielded right next to the com coax RG-400 cable I am not thrilled about. Thus if I mount power supply on the starboard baggage rib, would need to run high voltage wires along seam of fuse till forward of the rear of seats, then could go down and out the suggested area Europa recommends for pitot and static tubes. They would parallel my positive battery wire on the starboard and the negative battery wire on the port side.I could also mount power supply just aft of the wheel well mud guard, but kind of a pain to mount and running power in and high voltage out can be done, but kinda labor intensive.Or I can mount power supply on the starboard baggage rib, easy to mount, easy to access and run high voltage wires on the bottom of the baggage shelf outboard next to the fuse and above the flap arm and make a very short run when it exits the front face of the baggage bay shelf and run out of fuse slightly above and slightly aft of the rear lift pin mounting pad. High voltage would be clear of antenna and battery cables. This is what I am kinda thinking at the moment.I think it can be done without jeopardizing the strength of the rear lift pin area in a meaningful way, but would feel a lot better if someone else has experience doing this and not having rear lift pin failure.Ron Parigoris [quote][b]

Ron,

By chance, I'm wrestling w/ the same issues, but I had not thought
about the strobes before zapping off my curt reply.

I will be penetrating the fuselage aft of the spar for my strobe
wires. My large radius wing root fairings will enable the hole to be
outside of the rear lift pin reinforcement, though even without them,
I don't think a hole of the size we're talking about will have any
structural ramifications (but of course I do NOT speak from direct
experience).

My power supply will also be in the stbd baggage bay.

Good Luck,

Fred
