Another first flight… they seem to be accelerating as well as the -10’s do. First day accounted for 6 hours of aviating joy. Plane trims to a balanced hands off state. I still have a few EFIS/Avionics settings to wrestle with, and some radio noise to quiet down, but the bird flys like a dream.

Good News and Good job Frank! tell us a little bit about your plane and
 how you 'outfitted' WD. Pictures?

This is getting to be a very pleasant announcement, At this rate OSH
will have to double the parking capacity for RV10's this year. And at 6
hour's on the 1st day, frank will soon equal Tim O. for TTAE.

Congratulations to both Don and Frank!

I think Jeff will need to add a couple more rows to accommodate all the new RV-10s this year.

Big congrats to you Frank, can't wait to see it!

And Deems, I may fly a lot, but that Scott Schmidt character...he
flies even more than I do! I've been getting a lot of time in that
leased cherokee lately too....it sure makes me miss the RV-10.

I'm not sure that anyone but Van's gets a good amount of info
on who's flying. I have 106 shown on the builders list,
but I know there's significantly more. I try to keep
them listed as flying once I hear they are though.

Don, Get a hold of John Cox (John where are you?), he keeps a database
of flying RV10's , the last I heard he had nearly 220 aircraft logged.

And Van's only updates their numbers when a builder explicitly notifies
them. Back when there weren't many -10s flying and it was a little
easier to track I recall their number being about 10-15% low.

With the posting of Don's #636 and then Frank's, the count on my
database is 210 as of 6/10/2009 with 958 kits sold. My data showed
Frank's was the former kit of Craig Wischmeyer #40090 of Prescott, AZ. I
 am I wrong?

Anyone is welcome to query whether they are flying and think they have
been overlooked cause VAN's only tracks the guys who send them
notifications and then Ken Scott gets involved. There are lots overseas
that have been missed by VANS. And I am always in the mood for the best
photos to add to my album of 125 painted and flying RV-10s. Rob & Jenny
Hickman's is in paint. Who else? Rick, I am still holding a spot for
 N246RS.

OSH '09 - just think of the politic of Rockets having to yield ramp
space up front for the top of the food chain. Oh yeh, keep your ears
open for some more exciting avionics announcements that are not from
Garmin. No one has mentioned the new AHRS from Crossbow either.

There is a great deal coming on a well advanced kit coming for sale by a
Cirrus driver (former RV-10 builder), not to be confused by N104CD.

I stand corrected at three additional who had slipped through the
cracks. My count stands at 213 and climbing hourly. "Move the Rockets
Back... Now!" And "VANS, make way for N402RH in the VANS Factory square
as the paint dries". "Deems we have you cleared for a straight in from
 RIPON - rock your wings!".

 N104BP,
