Okay,, went flying today in my 285HP Chang.  I get full rpm during run up and for about 3 trips (30 minutes each) with the kids for my camp.  flight number for, now take off rpm on the gage shows 2000-2100,, but the engine sounds fine.



Land, let the plane cool down for an hour or so,, and presto it works fine again for another 3-4 trips.. then it registers low rpms again.  (oil inlet temps around 65 degrees)



any ideas?  The govenor was replaced in may with a used working unit.



I've purchased the electric Horizen tach, just haven't had a change to install (gotta machine a cover for tach drive)
