Over the last 100 hours of flying I have seen my idle RPM climb slowly
till it was finally idling at close to 1,200 RPM when warm. It was less
noticeable on start up but after a flight full back on the throttle
still had me generating significant thrust. I understand this is
somewhat common and that it is related to the throttle cable stretching.
The end result is some rapid taxiing and long landings. Plus more brake
input that is ideal. We looked at the idle stops and linkage but when
all was said & done we shortened the throttle cable a few turns to get
the idle down to ~625-650 cold which put me right on 750 warm. Ahhhh,
 much better when set there.
