I have modified (shrunk) the original posted vortex generator picture 

significantly. Please see if this attached view is better for you.

OC, you can shrink the display of the picture by  holding the control key down and pressing the minus key a couple of  times. (This works in Firefox and I assume other browsers.) Of course  the accompanying text will shrink also.  It looks like the device is about  6-8 inches in front of the leading edge of the tail and the device itself is  about 6-8 inches long.  Am I guessing right on the sizing?   Larry

Hello Larry, Thanks for the picture tip.



These vortex generators go on each side of the fuselage in front of the 

wing. Their purpose is to generate higher energy air in the area of the wing 

to fuselage juncture.



They are more on the order of 4 inches long -- that is all the aluminum 

angle that I had available.



Take a look at the ones on the Cirrus airplanes to see what I am trying to 

replicate.
