Bill,
Many thanks for your kind offer, I have just picked up a hydraulic beuty from
Ivor in Kent (We are living between Gatwick and Redhill) ,If you have any
pictures of how you are doing your fuel system I would welcome more ideas, I am
using Veratube 3/8" aluminium for the bulk of the runs, will use Europa tap,
with 1 facet filter screwed in to each inlet , and pump forward of the
tap ,which will face forward , and gascolator on front firewall ( the cheap one
from LAS is actualy very nice in the flesh) .
I am considering flexable connections from tank ...if I use aeroquipe 666 I will
then need to re-work the Europa fittings using screw in 1/4 x 3/8" npt coupler
where the water drain pipe is reduxed in and transfer the pipe extention (water
drain kit) on to the aluminium machined outlet (as this is a push on outlet I am
considering either very short rubber hose over nylon or /brass elbow looking
bown onto drain valve fittings.
I intend to add a "bow" to both feed and return pipes to allow for flex/
movement in case of a/c breakage!
Firewall forward will probably be aeroquipe 666 (it has carbon content to avoid
static discharge to outer ss sheath that creates pin hole leakes) .
My engine installation planned is for 80 hp 912 not the 914 (But still having
thoughts about selling my engine and going 914 as the firewall forward kit is
actualy cheaper).
PS my current a/c is not quite as exotic as yours but similar concept (should be
finished re-build and transition to G soon see pic, HB-21)
Regards
Kevin Burns
