I received the following from the Triple Tree Fly-In Committee looking for any and all airplanes to "dress up the place" on May 5th.

I will try to find out if there will be a time that will be best.

Dale

Dear Friends of Triple Tree -

Most of you may know about the television show called, "The Aviators" who came to Greenville Downtown airport a couple of weeks ago. They filmed the airport and the Greenville Downtown area to film a segment for the airport's cafe and downtown (respectively). What you may not know, is that the Marketing team (Dan) has arranged for "The Aviators" to come BACK to the area NEXT THURSDAY, but this time to Spartanburg County.

To highlight this very unique aviation event venue, the marketing team has secured aviation print media and "The Aviators" to come and write and film the grounds, talk about the September fly-in and even cover a bit about the Joe Nall event. Unfortunately, the only window of opportunity was immediate, which leaves us with a need for your help.

We need airplanes next Thursday, May 5th
to fly into Triple Tree Aerodrome (SC00). That day only; from anytime after daylight to within 1 hour prior to sunset. If you are not familiar with this airstrip, it's over 7000 feet of meticulous grass strip. So even the most novice can land. Any word, any planes, anything you can do to help us, would be appreciated. If you know of anyone who owns/flies an airplane, will you reach out to them and invite them to fly in next Thursday, May 5th? We've had as big as Stuart Spinx L-39 jet and several King-Air and Pilatus out there, so size should not be an issue. Even if it's small, we'd love to have them out there. Call Dan for approach procedures, questions, etc (864-384-7122). You can also check out the Triple Tree website for more information.

Thanks so much and we look forward to seeing everyone next Thursday!

Shelly Roehrs

PS. Feel free to forward this to aviators that might be interested/available to fly-in next Thursday, May 5th.

As most of you are aware, an episode of "The Aviators" will be taped
on May 5th at Triple Tree. And the Triple Tree Fly-In Committee has
extended a call for airplanes to dress the place up and make it look
like a occupied airport.

There will taping most of the day, but early morning and late
afternoon/early evening. It is requested that departures take place
at least one hour prior to sunset. Sunset will be approximately 8:10
that evening, so plan accordingly.

I hope to see you there.
