Looks pretty nice inside and has a G900X for $175K. Must be pretty good build with the 09 Bronze Lindy.

I expected mine to be closer to $250 with the G900X etc… Seems like a good deal.

It’s a sign of the times right now and also don’t forget that “worth” or value varies greatly depending on how fast you want something sold, circumstances of each person, and finally who is willing to pay what for something.

I know this plane well and indeed it is better built than most…and is most probably worth more than asking price, but perhaps the seller has some circumstances where he’d like to get it sold sooner rather than later or other things in their life driving the sale price. Overall I can vouch for it being a nice plane, the EAA OSH judges agreed. Someone will get a nice deal!

 My 2 cents as usual.

 Cheers,
 Stein

Yeah that is depressing. If I weren't so close to flying I'd consider it because that is a bargain. Apparently he hasn't checked the latest price of an IO-540 either.
I will end up north of that number and I'm using the G3X!
Depressing is right. Hopefully things turn around soon.

				Robin,

You won't like this answer perhaps, but, the only time the
resale value matters is if you are selling it. And, if you
built your airplane for your own recreation and enjoyment,
then you're probably planning to keep your airplane for
a while and enjoy it. If the values dip $10,000, $20,000,
or even $50,000, it won't matter unless you end up having
to do a fire sale because you have big financial problems
or something. And if you were to just plain die, you died
a happy airplane owner and oh well, I guess your estate
 ends up a little shorter.

To me, the biggest potential for loss of value AND loss
of enjoyment, is if fuel prices double or triple and
we can simply no longer afford to feed the engine.
If that happens, we'll all own boat anchors, and my plan
will be to stick a couple of widescreen monitors on
the glareshield and have the best friggin' $200,000
 flight simulator you can have.

Also, part of the reason the values dropped is because so
many people got dollar signs in their eyeballs when the
RV-10 came out, and built it and then turned and sold it.
If nothing else, this will discourage people from building
to sell, further reducing the values, and keeping the
spirit of the process intact....and it may attract some
pilots to RV's in the long run too.

Looks pretty nice inside and has a G900X for $175K. Must be pretty good
build with the 09 Bronze Lindy.

I expected mine to be closer to $250 with the G900X etc… Seems like a
  good deal.

I'm really not depressed, just thought it was an exceptional value. I know
I will get reasonable value out of my plane when the time comes and I
don't see offering it for sale anytime soon. I always seem to keep planes
longer than I thought I would and with the -10 what's an upgrade? Can't
really think of one at this time. N110EE just too good at all the things I
need it to do. Much like my 6A you build up a personal relationship with
your aircraft over time and it just fits. I really just wanted to point
out the unit to the list.
Placing Prozac back in the bottle now,
 Robin

Sitting here on the 'eve' of my first flight, I have to admit that it doesn't even register.

I'm feeling like a million bucks... or about to fly a million bucks.  Buying and flying this fine $175K ship would make me feel like, well, $17.5k at best.  Nice piece of iron but it's not mine.

				Thanks Phil.

I should clarify that I use the term 'eve' loosely. Everything takes
longer in homebuilder land, so it is first flight 'eve' for about a
month. But I'm sweating and smiling!
