For those still needing a room, the hotel below is not too far from the  Holiday Inn Express. Room rates are $65 for Thursday and $89 for Friday and  Saturday.

 If  you have any questions, please contact me and I will try to help. We do not want  anyone to not come because they could not get a place to  stay.

Greg,

     Cancel the plane trip, we will be in the motorhome.

     Leaving for Ohio on Monday, had a family wedding pop up on the     schedule.

     Will get the check in the mail in a day or 2.

     Assume you will have a projector and screen - I have both but will     not carry if you have them.

Bob, great to hear you and Carol are coming, I had given up on you two and  was hoping for a surprise at the airport. Please bring your projector, mine is  working, but could shoot craps anytime. I have looked at new ones but would  rather get a flat screen TV for the motor home so have not done either yet. I  assume you will be staying in the Yogi Bear camp ground across from the airport.  Clinton Lake has some nice facilities and is cheaper. If you want, I can check  on reservations for you. Let me know.

  

 I'll give you a call this afternoon(Sunday). I am running short on speakers  this year so would like to hear some fresh ideas.

The advance forecast for Lawrence is partly cloudy skies, daytime  temperatures low 80's and night temperatures in mid 50's. It looks like great  weather for the event, next week. We have 42 people registered and 17 Pulsars  flying in. 

  

 If you have not registered yet but want to attend, please give me a call at  210-639-5764 and we will get you signed up, but please call me before  Monday.

  

 We will have event schedules at the hotel desk when you check in. I will  also have some schedules at the airport. Come on out to the airport and join the  party as we meet the arrivals flying in. Thursday evening, we will have Pizza  and drinks at the hotel conference room, starting at 6  PM.

  

 Call signs.

 When announcing your approach into Lawrence on the UNICOM frequency, please  identify your aircraft as a PULSAR so we make sure we are out there to help you  to parking.

  

 We will have a table set up for any items you want to sell so bring your  stuff. I have a bunch of stuff from our Pulsar buddies including a pair of  like new Telex head sets, epoxy ratio pump dispenser, canopy cover, and  hardware. 

  

 Have a safe trip. You can reach me on my cell phone at 210-639-5764.

Wednesday, Lawrence, KS.

  

 Two intrepid flyers made it in today so we have two Pulsars tied down on  the field. Bob Hartunian endured lots of turbulence the first day over Nevada  and New Mexico and dodged rain yesterday arriving around 2. He was the second  Pulsar to arrive. The first arrived at 8 yesterday, the pilot had to dodge rain  on his torturous 23 mile journey from Topeka, Ks., but I made it safely to the  tie downs.

  

 Thursday's weather is cool and calm winds. Bob and I wish everyone a speedy  and safe trip. We will be sitting here in the RV, waiting for you.
