I wonder about the Snoops article.........they turned the 'steering wheel' to steer clear of the blast wall!!??

Don't know about the Airbus but when I flew the C-121 there was a small steering wheel that turned the nose wheel. It was used for ground operations. My guess is all large aircraft have something similar.
