Dave, or anyone else that has built this brake:
Do you find that the brake, being attached to your work table, gets in the way when trying to use the table for other purposes?
Would it be better to build a separate table for the brake if you had the room? [quote][b]

When I need it out of the way, I just take the top plate off, leaving the rest of the brake attached to the table. I was able to build a wing on my table with the brake still in place. I didn't have room for a separate table.

If you intend to build my brake make sure to download the latest version of the plans from my website. I've included some tips for difficult bending situations. Feel free to email me if I you run into any problems.

I put my brake on two arms that hang from the ceiling joists. Two braces keep it steady if it's going to be used for more than a few parts. When not in use I strap it up and out of the way. Before this it was on a separate table and always in the way if space is premium.do not archive

I find little or no interference at all. See attachment for an easy rack for the top piece.
