Help with a AFS / GRT comparison

I know many will be reporting back on a daily basis for different vendor
solutions. The comparison I am interested in is between Rob's AFS-3500 and
the new GRT fast and bright screen product. I know they are not apples to
apples in functionality, but at least when considering a fully outfitted GRT
Sport, they seem to be similar in price, once you add a suitable GPS to
drive the AFS versus a add-on Garmin GPS for the GRT. Also, I'm hoping that
Rob has upped the anti with the AFS for OSH.

Anyway, I'm rambling. What I'd like is a report back on the quality of the
presentation of each, not necessarily the functionality. If someone could
do that. Screen clarity and brightness. Refresh rate. Things like that.

Thanks.

I'm not sure about reporting back on a daily basis, but I will offer to summarize my feedback the following week.

I've got two primary missions next week. They are engine and panel choices.

To be honest, Dan Lloyd is driving the engine decision. Or at least he will be once he gets the turbo installed and starts generating performance data.

So I will most likely be spending most of my time attempting to make an EFIS decision between AFS/GRT/MGL. There are other great solutions, but I don't think my budget will support them. Now if I start getting close to what OP or Chelton will cost it, that will be a different story. But at this point in time it looks likely to be an EFIS from one of these vendors.
