counter sinking canopy holes

Just now installing the seat belts and I need to countersink  the canopy for the large screws that hold the shoulder harness in place.  I  don't have, nor can I find, a large enough countersink cutter to do the  job.  Any suggestions?  Jay Rowe

I suggest contacting either of them, because I don't know where it's going once past Deems and Jay.

Regarding harnesses, I have just purchased a set colour matched to my

seats from Hookers, they are great, albiet a little pricey, but well

worth the money.

thing, IMHO.....look here:

I don't remember the screws actual dimensions...it's an NAS517-5-9,

but I do know that I just grabbed my larger sized countersink cutter

that I bought (probably the #12, as I bought a couple of additional

sizes from yardstore) and used that....and the screw countersunk

just great.   Considering the countersinks are $5.95 each, and

I'm sure the 1/4" one would cut just fine, I don't know why

there would be a scramble to get in line.

Tim, and others:  the 1/4" countersink cutter does not work---you really 

need the 5/16" or you end up just drilling a 1/4" hole albeit having the 

bottom of the hole nicely countersunk.  Please don't ask me how I know. Jay

How about emailing me your email address so I can keep you posted, confirm address, etc.  We're still waiting for the seatbelts, so I may send the countersink on to those who already have theirs, then get it back at the end of the line.  This "traveling tool" thing works so fast, we weren't ready for it so soon!
