HI

I am ready to permanently install my door pins and am wondering about the best way do lock them in place. Is locktite acceptable or should I be using proseal / epoxy or something else? The threads seem somewhat loose so I want to get this right the first time.

Inquiring minds need to know.

I have the rivethead pins and used locktite. Seems to hold ok. Pro-seal might be better, but difficult to remove if the need comes.

Les,
You said the threads seemed somewhat loose - are you referring to the nut wobbling on the threads, or the grip part of the bolt wobbling in the hinges? I would think that a lock nut on an AN bolt would be pretty firm.
