				Thanks Robert.
It could be retro-fitted. The only new holes are four screw holes, a 5/16 hole to tighten a screw and an opening in the bottom of the door to slide in the mechanism which is about 2-1/8 inches x 3/4 which could be filled in with a fiberglass piece. Also the rack gears in the stock handle have to be changed out for longer ones.
I'm thinking about making a bunch of these and having the builders install them.
 Haven't thought about cost.

I like your product. I could very well be interested in a few months as I don't have my finishing kit yet. I just got my aerosport overhead duct so it was neat to see that as well.

I don't know what you machining capabilities are, but I have a friend who has a complete commercial machine shop out by SL#2 airport and he is an RV-7 builder/flyer. I can hook you up with him to crank out some kits if you need.

Sure thing. I believe i now have a way to retrofit existing doors that
only travel 90 to 100 degrees and still work like mine. It would also
 work for after market handles.

My compliments!!! I'd have to say that is as close to ideal as anyone
could ask for. I think you did exactly what 99% of the RV-10 owners
would love to have. That's something that I'd be very happy with.
Wonderful job. Would love to see the internal mechanism that runs it.

				Sean,

WOW!!!! You have come up with a great design. I know we would be very interested in purchasing the mechanism. We are about ready to start her up. The design looks like we could retrofit the door any time. Keep all of us in the loop.

For all of you that are close to installing the doors and want my system, don't cut your rack gears from Vans where they tell you. Cut them in half, right down the middle or wait for the instructions with my kit. This way I (or you)can make 180 degrees of travel on your handle. Retrofit kits will have the option of buying 90 degree kits for already cut racks or 180 degree kits that include new racks for the handles. The 180 degree kits will cost a little extra for the material. For those of you who want retrofit kits you will have to decide on whether you want the door to be pulled in before pin penetration and 1-1/4 of pin travel past the door or 90 degree kits that hold the door closed and tight in the middle preventing bulging and the same pin extension. This goes for after market handles too. You can add my mechanism to your door for a safety and to keep the middle of the door tight.

I'm thinking about making a bunch of these and having the builders install them.
 Haven't thought about cost.

Add me to your list also. Would like to know a ballpark price before committing but this looks like the best solution I've seen so far.

I'm excited from all the interest and I am getting the ball rolling for production. I outfitted my second door and it works great.
