Gidday,
Simple question............are 1 1/4" gauges too small?? Tossing up between one of these and the larger 2 1/4" ones.

Tony Hi!
I had Mitchell 1.25 Square Gauges in my Europa for analogue engine readout.
They were: Oil Temp. Oil Pressure, CHT and Coolant Temp.
I found them perfectly viewable and they gave good easy to assess feedback.
The only downside of analogue is having no 'alarm' conditions that can be
set for visual or audio warning.
Regards
Gerry

Yes, and if you are going to use them, I have a UMA 1 1/4 resistive fuel gauge. Also for a good price. The size is actually very nice for a Europa.

Hi Tony,
Just a picture of my panel with plenty of 1 1/4 gages. Very readable.
The most important is to get the colors right!
Jacques.

Jacques,
your panel is very atractive in my mind, congratulations.
What is behind the nice yellow leverguard over the Hobbs-meter (cannot be BRS-launcher I assume...)?

Hi JacquesI too have colored UMA gauges including two EGTs, havn't flow yet but sitting in cockpit seem fine to read.Curiosity question, you are spinning engine up to 5000RPM, voltage is not too bad but why are you discharging ~7 amps?Ron Parigoris [quote][b]

Raimo, Craig Ellison is the author of the panel. Not me. I purchased my plane from him 2 year ago. Under the yellow leverguard, you will find the switch to disable the turbo servo micro-controller of the 914.
Ron, Good question! What I see directly:
- instrument panel with UMA gages, Dynon D10A (10W) and GPS AVMAP (10W), Radio ICOM, fuel flow controller, Airmaster Controller...
- fuel pump for the 914
- servo and micro-controller for the 914
- Airmaster servo
I avoid putting on the nav lights (5A extra) and strobes except needed otherwise I am hearing the strobes when I am on the gliding path to land...
Planning to add a second 40A generator on the back of the engine one of these days.
Jacques.
