does any one have a drawing for a rotax ring mount to fire wall with tube 

diameter and thickness.

  and the isolastic mount used.

  I am going to fabricate one for my CH701

That is a very hard mount to make if your thinking of duplicating the factory mount. The clearances are very tight and the bending process is painful. I manufacture an exact copy of the Rotax mount at a much better price if you decide to buy rather than build.

I never got a drawing with my 701 plans for the ring mount to firewall mount. I haven't asked Zenith about it either, guess I should. But if you find out anything or track down a drawing please let me know as I need to build one too.

I haven't asked zenair recently but a year ago they didn't have one.

I will try them again.and post here if I get one.

Other wise I may have to become a pioneer and design and build my own not 

the ideal solution

The last time I spoke with Zenith there logic was that the Ring mount was a Rotax Item and the mount from the firewall to the ring mount was part of their firewall forward package. I would think it should be part of the drawing package for scratch builders. I wasn't ready for it so I never pushed the point.

FWIW the 601XL main plans include 4 different mounts: Jabiru 3300,

Continental O-200, Lycoming O-235 conical and dynafocal.

This might not be that answer anybody is looking for but...



Has anyone gotten a price from Zenith for their portion of the mount?  I know that the Rotax portion is outrageous but it has been my experience that Zenith's prices for the parts they build are usually pretty reasonable.

Your right Doug, the price for the Rotax portion is outrages at more than $1100. That is why I started making them for other guys and I only charge $500 for my mount. I just never got around to making the mount between the firewall and the engine. I'm now getting to that point so I need a drawing or something to make that mount.
