       | If you are referring to a Hysol epoxy, the issue is that epoxy does really adhere well to plexiglass.

Don’t know. I used Hysol EA 9394 (the product used for Lancair windows) with just a little flox mixed in to thicken it. I also put a couple of bids of medium glass over the glued section on the outside. While this adds strength to the install, my main reason for the glass was to prevent the paint cracking around the window that I noticed on some RV-10s, and to better blend the windows with the canopy top. Make sure you use 32 or so grit paper to rough up the glass. Talking to Lancair builders, this is the most common mistake made – not preparing the glass to work with the Hysol.

I recognize the added glass will make window replacement harder, but I suspect replacement with all but the Silpruf install method will screw up the paint anyway.

I know another very nice RV-10 that used 3M Scotch Weld Adhesive (available at Aircraft Spruce), again with a little flox mixed in as needed. I used this product on the control surface trailing edge as well as to adhere the NACA ducts. It is a good product.

If I recall correctly, Rob Hickman bumped one of his windows that had been installed with Hysol and it popped right out. I was planning on using Hysol, but changed back to Weld-On after reading Rob's write up on it.
