MKIII is loaded and ready to go soon as I hit the send button on this msg.

Been a lot of waiting involved in this flight.

Weather is good until I get halfway home, around Tunica, MS. Then I will have thunderstorms to contend with.

If I make it home today, this flight out and back will involve 18 days, normally, an 8 day flight round trip. This is the most weather I have encounted in my flyinj career on a cross country flight.

Take care,

john h

it is about a month late,,, the weather is just starting to take the turn
for the better. the next week is supposed to be nice and sunny.
beautifully calm in the morning and evening.

i took my grandson a couple nights back, and he enjoyed a couple gentle
roller coaster bumps... but i think i twisted his brain when i did about a 2
g turn of 360 deg. the next ride will have to be more gentile.

Well, I am home at last. Was a long, tough flight for anyone, especially a
72 year old kid, but I did it.

Hauck's holler never looked so good, even with the 75 foot hickory laying
across my yard and driveway, and next to my new boat house. Don't think the
insurance company would have been too happy if that old hickory had
destroyed the new one.

Thunderstorms are raging outside, with lots of thunder and lightening. Not
nearly as intimidating now as it was a few hours ago between Tuscaloosa,
Alabama, and Gantt International Airport.

Time to hit the hot tub. That has been my goal since I left Larry
Cottrell's tub last week.

Times a wasting. I'll share my flight home when I get out of the tub.

Boy! That thunder storm is kicking butt!!!

Glad that you made it John. The weather here has turned hot, and we are just going to get into the swimming pool. Too hot for the hot tub.

John -

YEAHHH!!! I wish I had been able to make it over to Larry's - but ready about your flight and Larry's blog made it seem really alive.

Congrats, you 72 year old kid!

Congratulations, John.
Having survived tornadoes at Sun-n-Fun
and this extended trip, you've made quite a comeback!
Thanks for taking us along with you.
