				Etienne,

Last week I was in a meeting with Belgium CAA and they told us about your mails to them.

you have succeeded in grouding all the russian registered YAK in Belgium and France and Netherland will probably follow the move.

We all thank you for your huge effort in telling everywhere that a RAK YAK is more dangerous than the other registrations.

The result is in temporarily grouding. BRAVO.

Now you can be known as the man who grouded the YAK

 We will remember that.

 Thanks again

Great to hear Etienne. The owner of these tanks sitting in the back of my hanger has not made his mind up yet. So I will tell him that the chance is gone for him.
Glad to hear you have your tanks back and you are flying again.
I've been busy chasing miss fire in the 50. Has to be FOD introduced into the induction system for it to be migratory like it is. So looks like I'm replacing an engine.
 Does not end does it.
 Doc

				1. Hi Doc, Yeah, new fuel tanks (from Jill- with Thanks) fitted.

But if the owner of the tanks sitting in the back of your hangar makes
up his mind quickly, I have a friend in the UK who is looking for Right
hand tank for his 52 but who is willing to replace both and so looking
for a good pair ! Contact me off-list at : janie(at)yak52.fr and I will give
you his details. Good luck with the work on your 50 ! Replacing the
engine !!!! Ahhhh ... the "joy" of owning and operating a Yakovlev flying
     machine.

 2. Hi Bill ! YES, smoke in the cockpit WAS a problem during Airshow flying,
especially at low speed/high angle of attack !

As you have noticed on pictures :

 Etc ...

But problem has been fixed !

(also some magnificient Aerostars photos with their Yaks 50). Etc ... etc ...
Now only getting (a little bit) smoke during Lomcevaks and flat spins :
 http://youtu.be/nEp-WMjJdvw
Nice video. The "Yak bit" on the video above is from 05:40 ...

So, Exhaust extensions fitted = less smoke (and CO2) inside

But a reduction of 5 kph when going places ...

"C'est la vie !" as we say overhere !

 Cheers, Etienne.
