I have searched the Forum but cannot find the answer to this... maybe Graham Singleton is listening and can shed some light...?
I have the Singleton tailwheel kit, bought some years ago from Graham. It came with a new tailwheel horn and instructions to saw off the old steering arms from the tailwheel arm.
The replacement tailwheel horn is 4” between cable attach hole centres, but I also have a drawing (attached) for a similar horn, with 5” between centres ... confusingly I have annotated this with an amendment of 6”...???
So - is it 4" between centres as supplied; 5" as per the drawing; or 6"?
Any answers gratefully received...

Just to set the record straight,
the dimension was originally 4" which worked fine on the Europa Classic I flew for years but subsequent experience with other Europa monowheel aircraft
indicated that not all Europas are the same and more authority for the tail wheel would help to improve yaw control on the ground.
Both 5" and 6" horns have been used with success although 6" does increase the turning circle somewhat.
I agree that 4" is probably too small and recommend 5"

Paul,
In a conversation with William Mills at Sun N Fun some years ago, he
left me w/ several bits of advice...one of which was to make a rudder
horn which provides for 4", 5", and 6" between centers...doing initial
flight tests at the 6" spread and reducing the spread as the comfort
zone expands. I made mine from .125" 4130 steel.

The Mod as sold by Graham has been replaced by Factory Mod 77. You will find documentation for Mod 77 on the new Club web site. The dimension between the holes on the CS34 is now 5 inches.
I believe that the 4 inch version was found to be unsatisfactory and both 5 and 6 inch versions tried. The 5 inch has become the standard.
