				I agree with Greg .... the only thing       that wears significantly are the vanes.  That pump must have had a       really dried out and hard coupling to keep the rotor turning       enough to break it .... in that many pieces.  Did the coupling       shear???  'Tis a puzzlement!

				Yes, the coupling sheared. The shaft and gear look ok. There are very light scratches around the inside of the housing. 
 I just replaced another one with almost 900 hours on it that had failed. Same make and model.
