Noxious weeds are getting out of controll in our area and many of our
own pastures can only be sprayed on foot or horseback / or by air.
Thought i'd reach out to the old school list where some of you would
have likely seen something out there to adapt to a kitfox for a tank and
 nozzles etc....
Also i have started doing some testing on cover crop seeding with
radishes / turnips / alfalfa within the rows of a corn crop etc... but
anyone that has seen or developed anything like this i'm open to ideas.

 Thx

As you may have noticed, yesterday TeamKitfox.com website unexpectedly went
  down.
We quickly discovered, the server company shut down the site. Reason given
was the site has outgrown the allotted data usage available on our server
  plan.
No warning was sent informing of this approaching predicament. The "plug"
was pulled when this usage was reached.
The procedure to migrate our rather large database to the new more capable
server was started. Hopefully TeamKitfox.com's data base will make the trip
quickly with little difficulty and intact. Time frame for the completion of
the move is uncertain but has commenced.
Hopefully in a couple days our site will be up and running with copious room
for our rapid growth long into the future.

I know I've seen early Kitfox information that there was a Ag Sprayer
version featured. Maybe they even sold a kit made to equip a Kitfox,
I'll look in my old Kitfox papers and let you know if I find anything.

				Jared,
I found a 1991 Denny Aerocraft Co. catalog listing for a Ag Spray
 System  P/N: 69063.
It listed for $3,655.  There is a small side view photo which shows a
conformal tank mounted between the landing gear and spray system mounted
behind that. The system seems to be a horizontal tube with spray heads
across the bottom of the fuselage and additional struts attached to the
outer wing struts to support the outer ends of the spray tubes.
The caption states: "Ultra Low Volume. 2electric pumps. 4 atomizer heads."
I also remember seeing photos or video clip of it in action.  I'll
send that if I can find it.

At least you know it's been done by a previous Kitfox Company. They
may still have the information in their archives.

Here's a alternate system that might be adapted?

Searching the internet I found this:
 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultra-low_volume

Of course a ULV system design must have been chosen due to the
relatively lower load capacity available of a Kitfox. It would provide
the most effective coverage and thus be a viable choice for some small
 farms.

I scanned the catalog photo but the printed image is low resolution.
However It does help visualize the design.

Interesting tank and not very wide booms. I wonder if the spray swirls out the width of wing span or just that approximate 5 ft looking at pic. Atomizer is how they describe it so must really be a fine mist. But then again so are 4gpa tips on farm sprayer when you are driving 17 mph down a smooth field. I cant see if there is a pump like dusters or 12 v pump. Thanks for takin time to send what you had.

If you read the Wiki link you see the word "fog".
I'll bet the wing vortex spreads the spray pattern out beyond the wingspan. If you look at most photos and video of any crop duster it's a typical pattern. Here's one:

[quote] Interesting tank and not very wide booms.

With oshgosh goin on i'm sure many others like john mcbean will respond later too but pics would be great if you find them. It listed for $3,655.  There is a small side view photo which shows a conformal tank mounted between the landing gear and spray system mounted behind that. The system seems to be a horizontal tube with spray heads across the bottom of the fuselage and additional struts attached to the outer wing struts to support the outer ends of the spray tubes.   The caption states: "Ultra Low Volume. 2electric pumps. 4 atomizer heads."   I also remember seeing photos or video clip of it in action. I'll send that if I can find it.    At least you know it's been done by a previous Kitfox Company. They may still have the information in their archives. Here's a alternate system that might be adapted? jareds(at)verizon.n (jareds(at)verizon.n) Noxious weeds are getting out of controll in our area and many of our own pastures can only be sprayed on foot or horseback / or by air. Thought i'd reach out to the old school list where some of you would have likely seen something out there to adapt to a kitfox for a tank and nozzles etc.... Also i have started doing some testing on cover crop seeding with radishes / turnips / alfalfa within the rows of a corn crop etc... but anyone that has seen or developed anything like this i'm open to ideas. Very Rapidly As you may have noticed, yesterday TeamKitfox.com website unexpectedly went down. We quickly discovered, the server company shut down the site. Reason given was the site has outgrown the allotted data usage available on our server plan. No warning was sent informing of this approaching predicament. The "plug" was pulled when this usage was reached. The procedure to migrate our rather large database to the new more capable server was started. Hopefully TeamKitfox.com's data base will make the trip quickly with little difficulty and intact. Time frame for the completion of the move is uncertain but has commenced. Hopefully in a couple days our site will be up and running with copious room for our rapid growth long into the future. John --

I’ve seen an Avid with a spray rig on it in one of their old promo videos. Had an underslung tank and nozzle boom if my memory severs me correctly. Never seen one in person.
