Pulsar friends,
Since my base airport is just within the last kilometer of being with the mode-C ring, I have been watching for the ADS-B best deal, new suppliers, etc, ... and now, well I have taken the ADS-B plunge and ordered my ADS-B In/Out bundle.
With the new rebate that this time includes ADS systems for experimental aircraft that takes a $100 off (purchase by 11/15/2019), it may be the last time rebates are offered.
I went with the uAvionix EchoUAT with the SkyFYX-Ext Waas GPS reciever/antenna module.  List is $1,399.  It provides ADS-B In via WiFi for the weather and traffic to a iPad or Android apps, plus it works with existing Mode C transponders for the ADS-B out triggering.
Now hear is another piece of news, some distributors for uAvionx discount this package.  I ordered mine from Dallas Avionix for $1,100 (talk to Miguel Correa) , so after rebate it will be $1,000 cost (plus about $10 shipping).  The only additional items needed for the installation that I am anticipating besides my personal installation labor is the coax cable between EchoUAT and the antenna that is included in the bundle and the wires to power the uAvionx.  Not sure yet how long of a coax cable I need yet

Don’t forget, the FAA has reinstated its $500 rebate program.  The list of qualifying equipment has expanded since the last offering.

Not sure yet how long of a coax cable I need yet.

I am sure there will be other deals yet to happen out there, but at this time it may not be much more of a savings and ADS-B systems are starting to see months of backlog and delivery.  I expect to get my ADS-B bundle in the next 2-3 weeks (as they told me the SkyFYX-Ext was out of stock and on order).  I then have until 01/31/2020 to submit proof of purchase, installation photos, and passing PAPR to get my $100 rebate gift card.

Nice that we experimental owners, get a break on the cost of complying with the 2020 ADS-B compliance.

Best regards,

Ronko
