Hello all. My name is Rick and I have the good fortune to have finally
gotten the Kolb Mk III that I have wanted for 12 years. You may have seen
her in Barnstormers, she's the one with the flag paint job done across her
 wing.
It's been a busy week, flying to Alabama early last Sunday morning to make
the purchase, then waiting on winter weather to see if I was going to get to
fly her home to Wichita and on Tuesday night accepting that I was going to
put her on a truck and drive her home. We left on Wednesday afternoon a
little after 3:00 and arrived in Wichita the next day a little before noon.
Friday was spent finding a hangar, yesterday I signed the lease in the
morning and was building ramps to unload her. Later today she'll be out of
the trailer and set up for flight again. Finally, after seeing that video
from the factory so long ago, I have a Kolb Mk III.

				Rick,

Congratulations on realizing your dream of Kolb ownership. I am right there with you, was just at 11 years when i first decided that these little planes were right for me and had a wonderful experience last August traveling to PA from TN to take ownership of a very sweet bird. Best of luck with your new craft, keep us posted when you get airborne, look forward to reading your impressions!

Too bad you couldn't fly it home, but at least you've got it. Good on you,
and good luck with your new toy. Lar. Do

Congradulations buddy, let us know how it flies. I don't live too far from where that plane was located. Didn't have the need for a 2 place. It sure is a pretty plane.
