				Hey Fred,
Have been off the list for a while, but I made first steps today to tidy the workshop, and check back in on the list. It was great news to read about your success, and I can’t wait to read more, and hopefully see some pics.
 Congrats.

Well done Fred! At last! I look forward to hearing how well she flies. One step
at time. I used exhaust extraction on my Long EZ to cool the IO-320,
works well, 10 minutes full throttle on ground not a problem. Cooling on Europas
depends a lot on letting the hot air out more than getting enough in.

  Hi Matt,

I've fitted the Dynon heated pitot and performed the calibration using the heading
method. It was very accurate. Well within the requirements.

I had a little water ingress from the door hinges, so I removed them, plastered
white silicone sealer in the fuselage mount points and re-attached them. Problem
solved. I also made sure the door seal started and finished in the middle
of the top of the door opening. I've flown through heavy rain several times and
not had any leaks. My cowl Southco fasteners don't leak either, but I can't
remember if they were sealed in some way. I'll have to take a look.

  Regards
  Carl

  Fred,

Hearty congratulations from Oz. I have been following your build for
quite some time now so am delighted to know that Miz E has now ruffled
  her feathers!

Hope your heating problem will ironed out shortly and that you soon get
to experience the joy that flying a Europa can bring.

All the best from Down Under.

  Hi Carl,
I've been working through the problem with the LAA. I've had to move my static
  source. I'm nearly there now.
Where abouts did you fit you static port?
