Get the wiring kit instructions for $10, but not the kit itself. Consider dropping the door handles, if you are going to upgrade to one of the after market options. Drop the engine baffle material and get the silicone stuff. If you are going to use the magneto key switch and two door locks combination, you can special order the same thing from ACS with three locks so you can lock both doors and baggage door.

I’m getting ready to place the order for my finish kit. The following is what I’m looking to substitute in the kit.

 1.00 UNW501.25 NOSE WHEEL W/BEARINGS ( getting Matco wheel)

2.00 VENT SV-10 VENT FRESH AIR (don’t need since I’m going to use the vents from Steinair)

1.00 RUBBER DOOR SEALX25' VA-198 DOOR SEAL ( using a different door seal)

2.00 C-1016 DOOR STRUT GAS STRUT FOR RV-10 (upgrading to the heavy duty strut)

 1.00 U-1009 AXLE ( getting Matco axle)

Is there anything else that I’ve overlooked that I should substitute or source from another vendor?

 Thanks,

 Bob

Thanks for the handle reminder. I already have the flush handles from
 iflyrv10.com.

The other items are in the FWF, not the Finish kit, but I'll keep them in
mind. I'm implementing a VP-200 so most of these aren't applicable to my
 installation.

I too am just about to order the RV-10 Finishing kit from the Van's factory. Do you know what the kit contains or where there is itemized list of the Finishing Kit's contents. I would like to know what I will be getting.

You still need the NACA scoop. Stein sells the swivel eyeball air vent
 that mounts to the scoop.

As a reminder- when in doubt- look on Tim's site- he has everything- The
deal is people scan the plans and send to Tim to add to the RV-10 plans
link- as an example- anyone with the new FF-6 plans (newer than 2/24/2005)
please scan them and send to Tim to post I don't have a way of doing it or I
would have, The current version, on his site, shows the old "original"
plans with one exhaust. I have the newer two muffler exhaust, as most do. I
really like to have all the plans on pdf for reference.
In the meantime here is OP-37

 Thanks!

 Tim,

Obviously you are upset. Although I am not sure why. I do not want to upset you any further, but I do want to ask you to please reconsider shutting down the builder's section of your site. It was and could continue to be a great resource for those of us still following in your footsteps. There is some TERRIFIC info there. Please reconsider.

Stuewe: I trust Tim was writing tongue in cheek.

Pascal: I bought my FFW kit at the end of last summer (2009). The exhaust instructions say, "...these instructions are for the old exhaust, not the one you received. But they go together similarly.." (!)

I could be wrong, but I believe Tim wanted to limit access to the
plans pages to those that have registered with him with builder
numbers. So direct linking is not appropriate, if I understand
 correctly...copy right issues, etc.
 Do not archive

Stuewe: I trust Tim was writing tongue in cheek.

Pascal: I bought my FFW kit at the end of last summer (2009). The
exhaust instructions say, "...these instructions are for the old

I'm confused. Tim's plans have always been linked directly off his site, no login or such required. Did I miss why he is so upset?

Oh well, I guess he'll go in the same group with Checkoway as a good resource now gone.
