On the 2200 I purchased used the prop is mounted in the 7 o'clock position.On my other engines it was mounted in the 10 o'clock position on compression so they could be hand prop-ed. Does it make a difference as I would like to have the option to hand prop&==

You won't hand prop start a Jabiru, unless it's spinning on a starter it

won't produce a spark good enough apparently. Not like an impulse mag,

it's just a dumb coil.

The best place to mount the prop is 9 o'clock, this so it's out the way

if it ever stops and you have to land it in a field.

Yep.



The Jabiru engine has to have the prop turning at about the instantaneous equivalent of about 750 rpm to fire. Not possible by hand I'm afraid.

Not sure what that means but it does take 295RPM for the Magnetos to produce

the field and discharge needed to fire.
